
Marc Heijdeman brings over 30 years of experience in the media industry across a variety of roles and responsibilities. A graduate of Emerson College in Boston—the only private university dedicated to communications and media—Marc’s career has spanned multiple continents and diverse sectors.
His extensive background includes working with major studios like 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles and Berlin, producing award-winning TV shows and feature films, and organizing live TV events broadcast globally via satellite. He has also spearheaded the development and launch of over 50 DVD concepts for retail markets worldwide, created fundraising campaigns for organizations like WWF, and played a key role in developing early Interactive TV and VOD services for clients including KPN, Deutsche Telekom, and Vodafone. Additionally, he’s designed DVD premium giveaways for clients around the globe.
Marc has also served as the general manager of an international retail and e-commerce business and worked as a media consultant during the startup phase of Nabuur.com, an online platform that connects volunteers with communities in need. He also contributed to Micromentor.com, an initiative of the Aspen Institute (later Mercy Corps).
As a key member of the Compazz Foundation, Marc supports initiatives focused on sustainability, innovation, and transition.
Having lived and worked in the USA, Germany, and France, his international media experience is both broad and deep, with a truly global perspective.
